Being a part of the Blake’s Family of Companies meant I would touch multiple facets of the Blake’s family business. At the core of Blake’s is the orchard and cider mill that started in 1946. Not only is the orchard a functioning farm with u-pick, seasonal events, and housing the headquarters for Blake’s Hard Cider Co., but it is also a brand, selling canned goods, produce, and a multitude of other products inside their retail locations and other Michigan grocery stores including Meijer and Kroger. With the backing of a 80 year old business, consumers easily trusted the name that they had been visiting every fall to create lasting memories and growing the wholesale business was just a matter of creating beautiful, eye catching CPG that seamlessly spoke to the agricultural roots.
